Hello all fellow riders, I currently own a 1976 KZ900A4 purchased from original owner in 1984 with 4600 miles. I sold my 1973 & 1975 KZ900s (project bikes) in 1997 and have committed all efforts towards '76. Funnest bikes I've ever owned. See ya on the road.

Nice site! I own an original 73' Z-2 that I bought new while stationed in Japan in 1975. When I test drove my first Z-1 back in 73' I never thought twice about a Honda 750K. Finally scraped up the cash to buy a Z-2 when Uncle Sam sent me to okinawa, and I bought an in-the-crate leftover 73'. Way cool!! These bikes are classics. To my fellow Z-2,Z-1 and KZ900 owners all over the world, Ride On!!!

Beautiful Z1 pictures, bring back a lot of memories. I saw my first Z1 back in -75 when I was only 13 years old, it was the most beatiful bike I ever seen. I worked in the summers and saved all money and finally 1980 I got my 1975 Z1, unfortunally I had to sell my Z1 in 1987 because of a growing family, I will by a Z1 again, be sure!!

Hi Owned a new Z900 76`at 23yrs old. Sold in 1979. Live in Sweden now and am hunting for a good cond Z1/Z900. Have quite a few irons in the fire already. A tip on the changes of the Z900 after Z1. Lockable tank, hazard warning(first bike with it. The pull out switch on the right hand side of the handlebars was as big as a fruit machine button. Better electrics, self oiling chain, irritating buzzer that told you to turn off the indicators(soon ripped out that fuse) I still have the original broschur from the dealers in Cheam, England. Let the good times roll

I bought a Z1 (engine number Z1E 11998) back in 1975, it was like showroom condition. Between the years 75 - 83 it aquired different forms:- 980 1015 then 1132 big bore kit. I pensioned it of when I purchased a GPZ1100 A1 in 1982. It is still in my garage (in parts in boxes) waiting for me to put it all back together again. Maybe it should be soon.
